Temperatures are expected to increase again today after Monday offered slightly cooler conditions.

Highs of 49°C are expected inland with a range of 30°C to 48°C forecast along the coast.

Some connective clouds associated with rain are expected again today in the southern and eastern parts of the country, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology.

Skies will be overcast and while moderate winds may freshen conditions they will also cause blowing dust and reduce visibility to less than 2 kilometres at times.

Seas will be rough in both the Sea of Oman and Arabian Gulf.

Temperatures are expected to continue climbing throughout the week.
