ABU DHABI // Forecasters are predicting a slight chance of rain in the eastern and southern areas of the country on Monday afternoon.
The weather is expected to be partly cloudy, hot and hazy, according to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology.
In coastal areas, temperatures will reach a high of between 41°C and 45°C and a low of 29°C and 33°C.
Further inland, maximum temperatures will be high at 44°C to 49°C, and as low as 27°C to 32°C.
The mountain region will reach highs between 33°C and 36°C, and lows of 26°C to 30°C.
Relative humidity will be most oppressive along the coast, where it will be between 75 and 90 per cent.
It is forecast to reach a maximum of 85 per cent over internal areas and 65 per cent over the mountains.
Light to moderate winds, reaching speeds of up to 32 kph along the coast, are expected at times.
The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Similar conditions are expected over the next two days. Relative humidity will also increase over some western coastal areas.
