ABU DHABI // Light rain and foggy conditions were reported over parts of the UAE on Sunday morning.
The country’s weather bureau had earlier warned of towering cloud formations over western areas that it said would gradually move eastward, with rainfall and fresh winds.
The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology said at about 4am that mist had fallen over Ras Al Khaimah and Liwa in the Western Region. At about 8am, light rain was reported over Al Hamra in RAK.
In its daily forecast, the centre predicted “unstable” and partly cloudy weather with a chance of scattered rainfall and moderate winds.
Relative humidity is expected to rise on Sunday night and on Monday morning. Seas will be moderate and rough at times, with clouds forming over the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
High temperatures were expected to reach 23°C to 26°C in coastal areas, 26°C to 32°C in internal areas, and 17°C to 24°C in mountain areas.
