DUBAI // Temperatures are set to dip over the weekend, with cloudy weather conditions persisting.
Rough weather warnings cautioning strong winds over the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea were issued on Thursday by the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology.
“The temperature will gradually decrease over the next few days because there are strong, cold north-westerly winds heading here from the Arabian Gulf,” said meteorologist Ahmed Habib.
“The cloud cover over most of the county will also keep the temperature low and make the temperature decrease further.”
Hazy and cloudy weather has been forecast by the centre that will continue until Saturday.
Fresh winds will blow dust inland and could reduce visibility at times, the centre said.
The temperature along the coast will drop to 14°C from highs of 23°C, while the mercury is set to drop in the mountain regions to 7°C with highs of 18°C and in interior areas the temperature could fall to 13°C from highs of 26°C.
