Motorists in the UAE will pay more at the pumps in April after pricing details were released by the Ministry of Energy this afternoon.
The cost of Super 98 will be Dh1.62 per litre compared with Dh1.47 in March – a rise of 10.2 per cent. Special 95 is up 11 per cent to Dh1.51, while E Plus 91 has risen 11.6 per cent to Dh1.44.
Diesel is to increase 11.4 per cent to Dh1.56 next month.
The increase in prices for April follows seven consecutive months of declines.
The UAE announced that it would liberalise the pricing of fuel beginning last August. This was followed by many regional oil-rich countries re-evaluating subsidies as slumping oil prices squeezed government budgets.
