Headwater’s new self-guided walk through England’s Lake District is a must for literature lovers. The six-night tour, which celebrates the 150th anniversary of Beatrix Potter’s birth, follows the footsteps of several notable literary types. The experience begins in the village of Grasmere, William Wordsworth’s final resting place, and moves on to Great Langdale Valley, Coniston Water, then Brantwood, former residence of writer and philosopher John Ruskin. The tour ends in the village of Hawkshead, once home to Potter. The tour is appropriate for all trekking levels. It departs daily from July 15 to October 30, and costs from £599 (Dh2,954) per person, including accommodation, some meals, luggage transfer between hotels, maps and taxes.
