ABU DHABI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, hosted an iftar reception for the Rulers, Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers of the emirates at Al Mushrif Palace on Monday.
The Rulers in attendance were Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi of Sharjah, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi of Ajman, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi of Fujairah, Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla of Umm Al Qaiwain and Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi of Ras Al Khaimah.
Also present were Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Sheikh Rashid bin Saud Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain, Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, and other Sheikhs, dignitaries and officials.
They exchanged Ramadan greetings and wished for more prosperity for the UAE, led by President Sheikh Khalifa.
The attendees said they valued Sheikh Khalifa’s “persistent efforts to achieve national development and enhance the nation’s achievements” that had “enabled the UAE to occupy a prominent place internationally as a model of tolerance, coexistence and humanitarian giving”, reported state news agency Wam.
The Supreme Council members, Rulers, Crown Princes, Deputy Rulers and Sheikhs performed Maghreb prayers and then had iftar together.
Earlier in the evening, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid visited the tomb of the UAE’s Founding President Sheikh Zayed at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.
He was accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, and other senior officials.
