ABU DHABI // The President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent cables of condolences to Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and French President Francois Hollande after the EgyptAir disaster, expressing his solace to them and the families of the victims.
The Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also dispatched similar condolences to the Presidents.
Dr Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council, sent a cable of condolences to the Speaker of Egypt’s Parliament Dr Ali Abdel-A’l.
Dr Al Qubaisi also sent a cable to the French Senate President Gerard Larcher and President of the French National Assembly Claude Bartolone about the EgyptAir tragedy, which was traveling from Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport to Cairo.
She expressed her sincere condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and the French people, reported Wam, the state news agency.
