ABU DHABI // Police in Ras Al Khaimah responded to 67 minor traffic accidents on Friday due to rain showers across the emirate.

Brigadier Ghanem Ahmed Ghanem, Director General of RAK Police’s Central Operations Police Room, asked motorists to slow down and exercise caution while driving in the wet conditions, which are expected to continue for the next two days.

Police officers and teams from the Saeed highway patrol responded to the incidents. No serious injuries were reported.

Brigadier Ghanem also urged hikers to avoid valleys because of the danger of flash floods and beach-goers to stay out of the water as rough seas are expected.

The public were advised to call the police operations room on 999 in case of an emergency.
