Rain is expected to sweep into parts of the UAE from Tuesday evening, testing ongoing recovery work in areas affected by flooding last week.

Standing water remains in some areas of Dubai, including the Green Community near Dubai Investments Park, with news from forecasters of more rain on the way likely to put residents and workers on alert.

In Abu Dhabi, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy on Tuesday with maximum temperatures of 30°C, slightly warmer than Monday’s high of 28°C.

Daytime humidity levels of 48 per cent will rise to 80 per cent overnight, with a chance of rain showers moving into Wednesday.

It is a similar scene in Dubai, but slightly warmer with a daytime high forecast of 31°C. There is a possibility of rain showers in Dubai from Tuesday night, with that risk likely to remain into Wednesday and Thursday. Much of the Northern Emirates is also likely to catch a shower from Tuesday night, with similar temperatures to the rest of the UAE.
