Come Ramadan and the night markets will once again turn lively. Be it food, fashion or art, the UAE has much in store this year. We round up on what to expect in the coming days.
Ramadan and Eid Show 2016 Abu Dhabi
Where: Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre
When: June 6 to July 5, 6pm to 1am
You will find all you need for family and friends during the festival season under one roof at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. This annual fair is a great place for deals and special offers on clothes, accessories, home-decor items and toys, in preparation for Eid.
The Community Market at Abu Dhabi Golf Club
Where: Abu Dhabi Golf Club
When: June 7, 11am to 6pm
Lovers of local arts and crafts have plenty to look forward to at this monthly community market at the Qanas Function Room on the second floor of the golf club. Items on sale include Iraqi art, children’s fashion, handmade jewellery, skincare products and leather bags. The market is also a place for resident crafters and craft fans to network.
Ramadan Night Market
When: June 23 to July 2, 8pm to 2am
Where: Dubai World Trade Centre, Za’abeel Hall 4 and 5
One of the largest Ramadan fairs will run for 10 nights at Dubai World Trade Centre. The Night Market will feature local and international retailers selling designer fashions, accessories, home-decor items, toys and food with big discounts.
Shop The Night, Summer is Here
Where: Tom&Serg, Al Quoz Dubai
When: June 1, from 6pm
One of the coolest pop-up markets will take place in the run-up to Ramadan at the trendy Tom&Serg cafe in Dubai. Resident and international brands and artisans will set up shop for one night on the two levels of the cafe. Visitors can enjoy freshly brewed coffee and order from the cafe’s menu to boost their energy levels while shopping.
RungJa Ramadan Market
Where: Grand Excelsior Hotel, Bur Dubai
When: June 17 and 18, from 4pm
Local and international exhibitors will showcase Indian ethnic wear, jewellery, shoes, handbags, clothes, home decor and handicrafts at this two-day market in Bur Dubai. There will also be a food court with desi bites next to the exhibition hall.
Boulevard One’s Ramadan Trunk Show
Where: The Palace Downtown Dubai
When: June 4, 10am to 7pm
After the success of the Spring-Summer Boutique this year, Boulevard One is organising a one-day-only Ramadan trunk show for fashionistas in Dubai. Dress to impress at iftar and suhoor gatherings in the latest traditional attire, hand-picked by designers from Pakistan.
Ramadan Market Dubai — Season 6
Where: Dusit Thani Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road
When: June 16 and 17, from 6pm
Top brands from around the world will bring the season’s trends to shoppers at the latest edition of this market, which will be held over two consecutive nights. Contemporary and traditional outfits, Arabian-inspired couture, pret-a-porter, bridal and partywear will be on display, along with shoes, perfumes, watches and jewellery. Pakistani designer brand Lajwanti will present its new Eid collection.
Ramadan and Eid Exhibition
Where: Signature Studios, Bay Avenue, Executive Towers Dubai
When: June 1 to 4, from 10am
Signature Studios will showcase brands from 30 Pakistani fashion designers under one roof during this pre-Ramadan show. The exhibition will include fashion lines from Afifa Shah, Agha Noor, AP Rangrez, Aainas Collection, Hina Salman, Humayun Saeed, JV Haute Couture, Kaam, Kross Kulture, Liab, Maria Rao and Nabila Murtaza.

When: June 16 to July 7, from 7pm
The exhibitions halls at Expo Centre Sharjah will transform into a heritage village where families can spend the evenings shopping and kids can get involved in arts and crafts sessions. The annual exhibitionruns throughout Ramadan, offering local and international brands at affordable prices.
