Flood-hit residents in Sudan are receiving aid from the Emirates Red Crescent.
More than a thousand blankets and food baskets have so far been distributed to the residents affected by floods and heavy rains, reported Wam, the state news agency.
The humanitarian assistance is part of Red Crescent’s ongoing relief campaign for people affected by the floods.
The UN says that flooding this summer in the central, eastern and western parts of Sudan has killed 110 people since July and destroyed more than 14,000 homes, affecting more than 161,000 people.
