DUBAI // Commuters face delays on main routes as schools reopen and public sector employees resume work after the Islamic New Year.

Slow moving traffic was reported on the E11 Al Ittihad Road inbound to Dubai as well as on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in Muhaisnah 4.

Elsewhere there are tailbacks along Sheikh Zayed Road near Dubai International Financial Centre in the direction of Abu Dhabi as well as the flyover near Safa Park towards Mall of the Emirates.

Long queues remain from the Dubai Investment Park roundabout to Jumeirah Village Triangle on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.

In Abu Dhabi drivers reported delays on Khaleej Al Arabi Street at Abu Dhabi Gate City and the E22 Abu Dhabi Al Ain Road.
