Watch a screening of the award-winning documentary The Brain That Sings, which follows the progress of two boys in the UAE with autism – Mohammed, 19, and Khalifa, 6 – during three months of music therapy. The film explores the cultural stigma in the Arab world associated with having a child with special needs, and the issues families face when planning their children’s future. The 2013 film, directed by Amal Al Agroobi, has English and Arabic dialogue and subtitles.
