DUBAI // Dubai Police chief Maj Gen Khamis Al Muzeina and Maj Gen Mohammed Al Qamzi, director general of the State Security Department in Dubai, have both been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.

The move was part of a decree issued by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, on Sunday promoting 2,700 officers in Dubai Police.

Lt Gen Khamis A Muzeina thanked Sheikh Mohammed for the honour and for personally following up on the efforts of Dubai Police.

Lt Gen Dahi Khalfan Tamim, deputy chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai, also extended thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Mohammed for the decision.

He also commended the efforts of Lt Gen Al Muzeina and Lt Gen Qamzi, saying that their dedication and loyalty serves the nation and the public well.
